What We Believe

  • We have a responsibility to nurture our unique natural environment in the Indiana dunes.
  • The dunes ecology is threatened by expansion of animal species whose natural checks have been eliminated, and many invasive plant species that threaten to replace much of our native plant diversity with plant monocultures.

What We Do

  • Develop and disseminate native plant/invasives educational materials
  • Create and maintain the Bob Beglin Memorial Garden to educate residents about native plants.
  • Coordinate the removal of invasive species
  • Commission annual surveys of the deer population
  • Manage controlled deer hunts and culls by qualified bow hunters.
